How do you old your FQ's? I ordered some from Connecting Threads. They came laid out on top of each, folded in half, and then in half again. I'm used to them coming all folded up. Should I fold them differently, so I can see them better? Or should I leave them as they are?

I always refold mine so I know exactly what I have. Otherwise I'll forget.

LOL! it is what you want them folded like!
i fold mine like they come from Joanns,in half twice..or in Triangles..and put them in a wooden bowl! |
Mine are all folded, refolded into about 5" square, then stacked by color,
theme, or project I have planned. |

I fold mine all the same so I can see them.

Looks like we have the same problem. ;) Got my CT order yesterday.
I think I will use Lneal's method and put everything in a tote or stack on a shelf. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-41177-1.htm |
I have to refold mine. I have shelves and things tend to fall unless everything is folded the same size. I like for everything to LOOK neat (even when it isn't) and I like handling the new stuff, so I refold, stack and shelve anything new. It's my way of playing till I can pull it down and cut into it.

I refold mine and stack.I can then tell the amt of material i have by the way it is folded on the shelvespab

I fold them repeatedly in half, adjusting the last folds a little if needed so they all are the same size, with the last fold being a little wider than the other direction.
Then I store them (with the last fold up) in a standard size shoe box. It is easy to see what I have, and keep them all together in a compact space. The shoe boxes also stack well, as the folded FQ's are just about as tall as the box is deep. |
