"Faux" Cross stitch design on Embroidery machine
Hi All-
As I continue to learn about embroidery machines, I am curious to know if one can buy "cross stitch" files that look like cross stitch, but they are done on the embroidery machine? I am just curious and if you have a picture of one, could you please post? Thanks, JC |
Yes there are cross stitch looking designs...I have quite a few, "Vermillion Stitchery has some really nice designs.

I would not be surprised if there are designs that look like cross stitch out there. I even thought that I had one in my collection of designs for my embroidery machines. I suggest you go on a site that sells machine embroidery designs and search it. I know that I have designs for red work and lace designs. While I have a large number of design cards etc. I am not crazy about constantly having to change threads so I tend to use multicolored threads and just keep sewing with them instead of changing every time the pattern expects me to. The results are quite nice especially if the design is fairly simple.

Here are some from a site I've used before:
http://www.annaboveembroidery.com/allabvi.html One thing to know in advance is that you have to carefully clip all jump stitches as you go, and there are lots of them! however, the finished embroidery looks very much like counted cross stitch. |
