Favorite free online pattern?
I'm working on bookmarking some patterns for upcoming gifts... Care to share your favorite? :o
I'll start. I made this zigzag quilt and it was a lot of fun! And I can't wait to try kaleidoscopic kites when I get enough fabric stashed away. |
This site has a whole forum dedicated to links:

I have that one in my bookmarks! It is a neat site for sure.
I love to get others experience before I try a pattern too, to make sure it's written well or if there are any mistakes. Need to be aware of before starting. |

I think my favorite (although I have many) is Red Rooster's Heart and Soul. I have done it in brights for baby quilts, pastels for young children and earth tones. Although every pattern is versatile because of the colour choices, this one is easy and to me just says alittle more because of the hearts. http://www.redroosterfabrics.com/qui...rns.php?page=7

Wonderful links here, too!

Love the Red Rooster patterns and they even have a OOPS section to show corrections to some of the patterns.
So if you print them out be sure to go to the OOPs area. They have quite a few Elm Creek quilt patterns also. Thanks so much for the link. |
I gravitate to Bonnie Hunter's patterns at www.Quiltville.com. I've made a bunch, she does mystery quilts once or twice a year and I have learned so much by doing them. Some of hers are simpler, but many have lots of pieces and I love them. She has written three books with book 4 coming soon - great quilts there also. I'm a scrappy girl so anything scrappy makes me happy.

10 minute blocks are my favorite these days.

I agree. That's my favorite. Warm Wishes is such an easy yet versatile pattern. It can be found on the Quiltmaker magazine website. |

I'm a big Bonnie Hunter fan, also most of the Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day quilts are easy and quick to do. And she has a ton of online videos. I'm at work so I don't have the url with me but Google can find her site for you.
