I volunteered to do a quilt for my daughter's preschool class with hand prints on fabric. I've seen tons a variants on this, and found a few favorites, but am still looking for ideas. What's your favorite version, either that you've made or seen somewhere?

Love this idea, you could use school colors (if they have them) for the blocks or you could just use a rainbow of colors. http://www.candlewoodquilts.com/ebay...ry-quilt-1.jpg
Here is a handprint quilt book that you might be able to find at the library. http://www.trinityquilts.com/item.ph...ategory_id=771 I love this idea if you have the time and patience to do it. http://www.kideas.com/show/90 scroll down to the butterfuly. You could make a quilt block that says something like, Mrs. SoandSo Thank you for giving us wings to fly. You could also do a heart out of both hands, those are really cute! |

That is a good one - thanks!

Funny, I have the calendar kids book, so I'll look through and see if anything strikes me again. I love the butterfly, but think that with 3 year olds I'm best off sticking to single, centered handprints instead of trying a design.

Those are both great - thanks! Such good ideas.
