Favorite Technique to make Hunter's Star

I hope to start a Hunter's Star quilt after the first of the year. I've seen a video by Deb Tucker and really liked it, but wondered if this was the easiest way. Seems as if there are a lot of different ways to make one, but I just wanted to get your opinions about how you did YOURS and if it were fairly easy and kept the points sharp. There are so many people on here and so many beautiful Hunter's Star Quilts, I'd just like to hear from you and see how you made yours!

My favorite one is in Fons And Porter magazine March April 2013. Easy! Its called Scrappy Hunters Star.

I am about to finish mine and I used the accuquilt go hunter star die. It's going really fast, everything fits together perfectly and with very little pinning.

http://www.quilterscache.com/H/HuntersStarBlock.html has a pieced version, and a paper-pieced one also

I have Deb Tucker's Hunter Star ruler and it works perfectly. I only made one block to try it out first because I want to finish a couple of UFO's before I start another quilt. My points were perfect! You can make a variety of different sizes depending on which ruler you buy and the instructions and the youtube video are very clear and easy to follow. Good luck with your quilt.

I made the Tulip Star table topper by Animas Quilts. You use strips sets. You press the strips sets but when you cut them and sew the diamonds together, she said not to press until completely finished . I'm not sure what this does to the strips but the center came out perfectly flat, just like she said it would. Thank you Jackie. http://animasquilts.com/

I'm a true fan of Deb Tucker rulers and have bought the Hunters Star ruler. Will make one after the first of the year.

I don't have either an Accucut or Go cutters.. Hand cut and hand quilt! I was just wanting opinions on which method you all thought was the most accurate... and easy! I'm a stay-at-home wife and just wanted to see if everyone thought the investment in this ruler was wise or if you used some other techniques. I think I have even seen it done with printed Thangles. It's such a beautiful pattern and I've pinned and pinned different variations. Now want to try one before very long!

I made one from the Deb Tucker method/ruler (there are two sizes, I used the smallest). We had a great instructor. You make them strip piece method with a little space between them and then cut them down so they come out exact. It is a lot of work but I just love my quilt. I made it with only two fabrics but have seen many with more. Have fun making it.

I did mine by paper piecing with the foundation pattern by Lynn Graves
