I do that with all my Paper Piecing books then they lay flat when I want to copy them for the pattern. Kinko's is my go too.

Then the light bulb went off. I took it to my local "Staples" office supply store and asked if they could rebind it. They could!! They could rebind it with a spiral binding and it cost less than $10. I should have done it ages ago. Now it stays open when I'm using it! Next time I get a new book that isn't already spiral bound, I may just take it in and have it done right away. A couple of my favorites are in pieces, but I bought plastic sleeve protectors, put my pages in those and then put the sleeves in a binder. These are pages that I need one by one, and I usually need to copy or enlarge, so the loose sleeve protectors work great. |
I have a lot of my books spiral bound. I go to 2 places: Staples (cheapest) and Kinko's. Both are great, but they don't do the really thick books.

Any book that gets used for patterns a lot gets spiral-bound. It is so worth the price. Glad you realized that you have that option.

Most of my books are spiral bound. I take them to Staples and they usually get them done in less that an hour and it only costs $6.00. It's great to have them lay flat and they can go into my printer if necessary. I thought everyone knew about this.
