I have a feather bed I want to get rid of or what can I use the feathers for without getting them all over the house?

Any politicians around? Got a load of tar to go with those feathers?
Sorry, that was bad, but I couldn't resist. |

I love them!! Can't imagine giving one up - ours went up in a fire years ago. Gram used to sew (baste) a new casing around the edge - shake the feathers into the new casing and restitch - same with feather pillows then resew a doubled over edge. I don't know what else to do but they are so cushy and cozy.

Awesome!
I'm not sure what you would like to make, but what if you cut a small hole and then use a clean shop vac to suck some out and then blow it into a different bag? Sounds good in theory!

I think if I didn't want it anymore, I might offer it for sale here in the buy, sell, trade section. Can't imagine what I would do with all those feathers either. Because no matter what I did, I would end up with a great big mess. (Doing anything creative with it is probably not for me - I'd sell it or trade it I guess.)

Buy pillow ticking and make pillows. I love feather pillows, and they wash up very easily.
