Prices vary in different parts of the country. Where I am (upper Midwest), that is not too much for a working machine. Condition is a large factor of price. For that amount of money, you do not want a horribly beat up and scratched machine. Decals can be somewhat worn.

If the machine works well and has the foot pedal and some additional feet and attachments and you can always purchase a replacement case. Some cases come in smelly condition with a working well machine.

As Prism says, condition is the most important factor. I just passed on a white one over the weekend for $200 as there was only 1 zipper foot; missing bobbin; chip in paint and bubbling paint elsewhere. Did have the case, which was in good condition, but too rich for my cheap blood in that condition. Especially since I wasn't planning to keep it.

If it sews and has all the parts and the wiring isn't frayed you got a bargain.

Agree!!!!!!!!

As long as it works, then it is a good deal. Even better if it looks in great shape.

Most cases have mildew anyway and that is something you can't get rid of, only mask the odor.

I paid that much for mine, no case, but with bobbin case and a bobbin. No other attachments. But I had been looking for the longest time at every flea market, garage sale, estate sale, and thrift store I could find here, near here and on my trips to visit my children. When I found this I nearly fainted!!! To me it was a great price.

Better jump on that bargain.
