My DH and I found a 1950 FW for $10.00 yesterday. It runs great, but I am not threading it correct, because it refuses to make any stitches. Any help would be great.

It threads from left to right. That's probably what's wrong...
|
See if you can find a manual for it on line. Good luck.

Do a Google Search for Threading a Featherweight and you will find tutorials for how to do it and I think there's even a YouTube video out there showing how.
Did you make sure all the dust and lint were cleaned out. http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diag...ng_diagram.htm Manual http://www.singer-featherweight.com/...es/singfea.pdf |
Feather weights thread from right to left. I just took a class yesterday on Featherweights. Make sure the flat side of the needle is facing to the left.
See Featherweight221.com for supplies |
Thank you. I will check you tube.

Thank you for all the help. I think I finally found mine on the internet and it is SINGER CENTENNIAL 15-91 SEWING MACHINE. I also found a threading youtube. I'll try it out tomorrow because it is sleeping in my DH garage for the night.

Sorry, but if it is a 15-91, your machine is a great machine, but not a featherweight.
