terri, go to sew its for sale on the web. great place to purchase machines of many kinds. I bought my 1130 benina there for $600, wow what a machine. i love it.....but still would never give up my feather weight....love sewing with it.....speed has nothing to do with it....the stitches are perfect with one. I have many friends who say the same thing about their feather weights.....they love them.....

I have two featherweights, one was $224 and the other $149 I think this is too high

I have bought several from Goodwill.com - never paid over $250 and they just needed a little elbow grease

It really depends on what it is worth to you. I recently bought one on eBay and paid over $500. It was worth it to me because it did not need work or cleaning, it has accessories, original manual, extra manuals, great case and fun for me, made in my birth year plus a beautiful scroll plate. I learned from the 99 that I bought on CL that i'm not want to do tinkering, cleaning and searching for parts:) As in everything, to each his own! And good luck in your search.

I have a 301 so I know about them. Yesterday I saw one in a local antique store for $375.00 firm. I couldn't believe it! I stumbled on mine for $125.00 with a beautiful Maple cabinet. And mine is soooo much nicer! And it had all the attachments and even the book. Just keep looking! Just don't settle on one that you have to save from the dumpster. There are a lot of pristine featherweights, (mine was) and others out there! I once had a sewing machine 35 years ago that sewed for 1 day and had to take 3 days off! What a drama queen, diva it was!

I love my FWs. I have paid $275 to 400 for all of mine. The price must vary by geographical location. I do think if it works good and has the manual, case, attachments and not rusty, it is worth $300 to $400. Just my opinion. I love my girls.
