This is an "an electric portable sewing machine"
Is this considered a Featherweight? I'm not sure what's what with the older Singer's. Anyways, thanks for the help everyone! (This is a craigslist post from Minneapolis, Minnesota) http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ra...780571136.html |
Doesn't sound like it . I am not an expert but I think most are like a 221, the arm folds up and down
|

No this isn't a featherweight...this is a 99K. A 99K is a 3/4 size machine...a featherweight is 1/2 the size of a regular machine of that vintage.

If it runs and has all the necessary parts and a good cord (check to make sure there are no cracks) then I think that is a great price. Where I live you don't see these for less than $75 on up. |

No it's not a FW...i have one just like it. IT is a industrial Singer and i believe it's called a 301. I brought one thinking it was an FW, but it's heavier.
