Just wanted every one to know I got a featherweight on
craigs list. The lady lived 30min awawy and two of us went to look at it.Great shape and I used it at her house so I know it worked. She was asking 250 but sold it for 200.I got a real blessing. The case is good didnt have a lot of extras. But I need it just for stright stitch.I can do fancy stuff at home on my baby lock.I needed this to cart back and forth to my quilt day on thursday.Cant wait to use it on thursday.I want to let the shop owner look at it because she has one and I want to make sure it is oiled and cleaned good enough since I dont know much about them yet.Dawn

I have my MIL's 221 featherweight. I LOVE it! I look for excuses to use it rather than my computerized Bernina. It did come with most extra's, and just recently I found a walking foot for it. You will love your FW!

Just had my Featherweight serviced because I used a walking foot and threw it out of line. Was told NOT to use one because it puts alot of strain on the machine.Maybe I can save you $$$$$.....Simply use your machine for easy stitching........

For straight stitching (piecing) it is the greatest!

Oh! and it's easy to maintain the oiling and little lube-ing that is needed.... do you have the manual??? just read. I'd never let my featherweight out of my sight, as it was my mother's, bought in 1947 and I have the sales receipt to prove it! They are great little workhorses! or kittens... as it just purrs!

Enjoy!
