Feedsack question

Hi

Just a quick question. Is $7.48 expensive for replica feedsack fabric? I'm trying to build a stash to make a queensized quilt. TY for your answers.

depends on where you are shopping- i've seen feedsack fabrics range in price from $5 a yard up to $12.99 a yard. you could always do an on line search and see if you can find other prices if you think that is too high- but i would expect they are going to be as expensive as any other quilting cotton & possibly in some markets more.

If you really want it, it is an okay price for a repro. I have seen the real thing for as much as 15.00 to 20.00 smackers.
peace

I buy them on e-bay and have gotten a lot for $3 or $4. Also find them in antique shops and garage or estate sales. It is a fun thing to hunt!

I have been selling the real feed sacks for $10. Have eight left which were spoken for but the lady moved and have not heard from her. Two of them were recently bought for a museum. All mine are bright and cheerful and reminds me of my grandmothers aprons. I bought these sacks in the late 90's, put them up and forgot about them. In going through my sacks and boxes and crates I am finding many things I no longer need or want or will have time left to use up.
