I posted a few months ago about finally bonding with my step gd over quilting. We now spend anywhere from 2-6 hours a day together quilting or doing some kind of craft and yes it has been very rewarding.
After our first quilting project we decided to clean and organize our quilting room, We acually spent about 2 weeks going through our stash. organnizing and cleaning I have always had a unspoken rule no uncovered liquids in sewing room well yesterday I was drinking my morning coffee and for some reason wemt into sewing room and set my coffee down on sewing table. Later as I was sewing I knocked over the cup of coffee sending spilled coffee all over, most of it landing on 3 wips . Can you feel my pain? |
Oooh, I can. My stomach clenched when I read that! I'm sorry, but how awesome that you are connecting with your SGD!
Oh, Sassey, ouch! I think this will be another bond with your step gd. And it is certainly an great example of what not to do! Maybe you could dunk all of those 3 WIPs in a coffee solution so they will have that look all over, and not just in spots? My sympathies.
Oh yes! Hope you got them stain treated and washed asap! Good luck hope it comes out.
I've done that with wine. :-(
Bless your heart! Been there, unfortunately, done that!
My sympathies! I generally leave my drink in the living room because I'm such a klutz.
I think it's time for a produck called WINK stain remover- it got out grape koolaid from my duaghter's quilt.
I like to keep my coffee on my ironing board, I know if it spills, it won't go near my sewing machine and hopefully limit my "pain"
sorry to hear of this, but happy thoughts with your granddaughter! |
OH MY!!! Maked me glad that I don't drink coffee!
