... I got a new to me Janome 6600P about 6 weeks ago...having read all the reviews on it...thought this is the one (or maybe the horizon if I had a lottery win)...and I have been trying hard to convince myself I liked it better than my rather basic Pfaff or Viking.......but I have been struggling...then this weekend I had to have a weekend away from quilting having promised a friend I would make her daughters Christening gown...well have I had fun...and really put the machine to test, narrow seams, button holes, overcasting....and it has been amazing... I am so delighted with the gown and the ease at which I have sewn it.....
back to quilting next week but with much more confidence and joy in my new machine.....I think I just needed to learn its capabilities.
Once you really like your machine and have confidence I think you you can tackle most things

Glad you have jumped on the Janome 6600P band wagon!! I love mine, too.

I like mine, took awhile to get used to it.

I have had mine just over a month now and I love my 6600. Just a couple of minor things - it doesn't warn you bobbin is out - Just have to keep my eye on that. Also you cannot enlarge the embroidery stitches ( I don't think) Apart from that - this machine is a dream.

I love my 6500! My sister hit the lottery and her hubby bought the Horizon for her birthday present. It took her quite awhile
before she decide she really liked it. What's the old saying....
Practice, Practice, Practice!

ahh....I love a good love story!

Ditto here. I *liked* it from the get-go but thought it was finicky about thread. It liked to vomit thread if I used different thread in top and bobbin.

Now? We've grown accustomed to each other.

I think you'll love it more when you do FMQ. It's awesome at it.

Have you used the accufeed foot yet? That was the primary reason I got the machine.
