I finally ordered my first fabric online. (through quiltshops.com) But it has been a week. It is coming from States to Canada.

Can I expect it anytime soon? Starting to get nervous. :?

Can't wait to see what you got.

Have no idea how long it should take. Can you call and ask them to track the shipment? I have been hesitent to order on line. :?

Hi, think you will be okay, I have no idea how long between your two countries, I always order on line and have never had any problems and mine usually takes 2 weeks from America.

I shop online all the time. I've never had a problem from quilt shop sites. I think most know they will lose business very fast if it gets posted online do not order from them. I do not hesitate to post about bad customer service and I name names.

ok, thanks ladies. I've got my order ID#. Maybe I just need to be a little more patient.

Not something I'm very good at.....

Congrats on your first buy! I love shopping for fabric online. I've never been disappointed yet, after all it's FABRIC! :D :D :D

I have ordered several times online and have never had a problem.

Oh I love ordering online. So many fabrics to choose from. And the anticipation just builds as I wait for it to come. Makes it all the more exciting when I get it.

I order online most of the time and from different sites. No problems at all.
Some charge more for shipping and some are slower to mail out.
Quilt in a Day is faster and shipping is cheaper so far for me.
I order from Hancocks of Padukah, Ericas,Connecting Threads, Fabric Depot, just to name a few.

It usually takes about 10-12 business days for things to come from the US to me here in BC.

I order TONS of fabric online, I love to get the squishy packages. I mean, I have ordered hundreds! I have never been disappointed. Thousands of bolts, connecting threads, nixie chicks, hancocks of paducah, Aunt Beas and Marshall Dry Goods are my favs. They all ship fast.

When I have purchased from Canada (Penningtons clothing) it takes me 2 weeks to receive due to customs. I would guess the reverse would be about the same. Just hang out by the mailbox and bring your cokes and sandwiches, don't forget the brownies...

I have only ordered fabric once online with a good experience from Connecting Threads but I order a lot of crochet stuff and have never been disappointed. Last night I ordered off of Etsy a book of iron on quilt labels. I am so excited to find these and about 50 of them for only $4.50 plus $2.00 shipping.

Good for you! Yes, expect it to take a while..

Mrs. Mel 03-16-2009 09:07 AM

Hey everyone, it came today! The colour was a little darker than pictured on my computer screen, but it will work where I wanted it to. It took 8 business days. It is made by Lakehouse and is periwinkle and is going to be STUNNING!

Thanks for filling me in and your encouraging words. You guys really are the best.
