This looks very much like mine. It looks hand quilted but I bought it about 15 years ago at a family dollar store. Mine is getting tattered but I still love it.

Good find!

I like the yellow border and they are the biggest wedding rings that i have ever seen. Good buy!

it is lovely, and made even more so by being gently worn. it makes me wonder who made it, who used it, and how it found its way to a thrift store... one reason i love quilts is that each and every one of them has a story hiding inside. i wish they would "speak" more often than they get to...

Very nice! The Goodwill here had some old quilts that were for sale for like $25....they didn't look anywhere near this good! Great find!

This is a quilt pattern I would probably never attempt so finding one already finished would be the only way to go for me. Nice find, Carmen.

I have a BOM that I started working on a couple years ago. It was kinda tedious so it's been sitting in a basket to complete. I'll finish it some day.

Oh, and my pieces were already cut out by the instructor using the Accu-Quilt.

Just came back from a thrift store that had everything half off.. I ended up buying two flannel sets of sheets, and one flat.. One Rivereware pot.. and two corning baking dishes.. They were all new. This thrift store gets donations from Kohl's.

About 15 years ago I made a pink and blue one for a 50th anniversary and enjoyed every stitch. I still enjoy it every time I see it. Treasure your treasures!

sewingsusie 08-14-2011 04:43 PM

That quilt is beautiful ! I have hand pieced and hand quilted two of the double wedding ring quilts in the past. There are lots of work, in piecing one of them. You sure did get a bargain..... Here is a link to one of the quilts that I made for a 50th wedding present

I am also afraid to try this pattern, but love the looks of this classic quilt. One day I'll get up my nerve.

JuBee 08-14-2011 06:58 PM

My husband's grandmother made 4 of that pattern; one for each of her grandchildren. We have the only one left. It is so beautiful and such a great family treasure.

It's beautiful and in such good shape for it's age! It certainly went to the right home...
