I had 2 40% off coupons and a 10% off entire order, so I went Friday afternoon after work. Bought enough fabric to make a quilt someone's mother ordered who saw a wedding quilt I made. Finished the top today and I'll put it in the frame tomorrow. Easy quilt just blocks and borders.

I really don't need fabric and don't want to be tempted. Altho I'm considering going tomorrow, Labor Day to check on Insulbrite which should be 50% off, plus the extra 10% coupon. Someone shared an interesting way to make pot holders on YouTube and I'm considering making them, but I need Insulbrite.

If anyone has an iPhone you can get the Joanne app. It has the same coupons as the flyer and you just show it at checkout. This way you always have the coupons with you.

Didn't see much either. Their Debby Mumm collection was 50% off, but none of them fit my projects right now. The only batting I found was on the rolls and there were no labels to be had, so I passed. I did buy 2 pks of machine needles and ANOTHER seam ripper.

Me, too. I get discouraged at the "look" of a store and do not go back until it's back in order; hate to see lots of bare shelving; just a quirk of mine, I guess. Also don't like the "going out of business" sales.

So what's up with the remodeling at Joann's? The one I've been going to had all the quilting fabrics scrunched into a smaller space.

I went yesterday for one yard of fabric. They didn't have it at the store close to me. I drove almost 20 miles. When I got there, I grabbed my number first thing. #80. They were on #60. And most everyone waiting had 4-5-6 bolts of fabric. Two carts had at least 10 or 12. I sure wish they had an express line. I was in the cutting line exactly one hour. Then had to move to the check out line. When it was my turn, I got called down to the clerk at the courtesy booth. I walked down there to check out at the same time a lady walked up to the other side to complain about something. So, of course, the clerk helped her first. I waited another 7-10 minutes before she rang me up. I've never been in a Joann's that I did not leave feeling frustrated. Is it always like that?

I bought an AccuQuilt GO! Now I can't wait to play with it!

Jerudy 09-05-2011 06:40 AM

I thought about the AccuQuilt Go, but not sure I'll get much use out of it. What comes with it? and is it enough just to buy the cutter, what comes with the cutter?

4 1/2" square, triangle and 2" square. Mat...all set to go. Other templates are available but I want to see how this works first...I hear best deals for templates are found on Ebay..I am excited to get started!
