While reading posts this morning, the one about meeting another board member in a shop. Is there some way we could develop a name tag or such to wear when at a quilting event? or ??? It would be fun meeting others from Quilter's Board when at the shows. Example I will be at the AQS show in Des Moine in October--would be fun meeting others who hang out here. Just a thought.

We are meeting in Shipshewana IN in Sept. and we a just pinning a piece of fabric to our shirts, just something simple so we can ID each other. Lac

I like the idea of something simple. How about a 4-5 inch square of yellow (easy to spot)fabric with QMB stitched (painted-written in permanent marker--however) Name, state and screen name. Pin to jacket or blouse or whatever. I thought of the bright color because years ago we sponsored a bus tour to a show and wondered how we would keep track of everyone, so made bright orange squares with their names on. It did make the patrons easy to spot in a crowd. Was a conversation starter too. We used those orange tags for quite a lot of years--it was kind of a joke after a while. "OH, your on the bus".grin

I'd love to find others in my local area to sew with, go to shows with, etc. It would be awesome!
