okay I am in a quandary. I am making a quilt for my DD and have been collecting fabric that I like for her for about 6 months now. I just have not found the right pattern for it. I thought that I had a layout for her but it just wasn't going to look right. I have to make is a full size quilt because that is what her bed is right now. I was wanting to do pp for most of the blocks. and am toying with a couple of carol doaks blocks. but still not sure what to do. what do you guys think? here are the fabrics that I have so far.

none of these are set in stone except the fairy fabric

this is one of the block patterns that I was considering I jsut want it to be about 20" instead of 12" when finished.

Wow! I love that block! I wanted to make the Gypsy Garden quilt by Kaffe Fasset for my daughter, but she wants Darcy Ashton's horses appliqued instead. I collected the first set of fabrics for 7 years! So I will have to make the GG quilt for someone else.

What about a storm at sea pattern?

This is what I am making for my father in batiks. it is my first quilt I design in EQ7. It is all paper pieced.

The block is called Jungle Star.

how pretty!

can't you supersize the block? Blow it up 167%.
Alernatively make 4 -10 inch blocks plus seam allwamces to make a 20 inch square. Love the fabrics.

This block looks fabulous as is. I'm wondering what would happen to the fairy pieces if you made it bigger. They look in proportion right now, but if you do want a bigger block, try enlarging it as Rita said and do a test block.
