I still have a chenille bedspread that only got out of the cupboard when my Mom had company! Not one of the all over chenilles, but wide spacings between the cotton fabric and with large ropes of the chenille spaced. It made quite a pretty design and was quite a showpiece. And still is!

Did you ever fall asleep on one of those chenille bedspreads? And when you got up, your face was all dimpled? LOL! I have one that was my Grandmother's. It's so hevy & nice. It's only a double-size & our bed is a queen so I can't use it on my bed. I love chenille... not the stuff that they call "chenille" nowadays (which is actually kind of furry).

My step mom use to make them and send them to a place in New York to sell. I will ask her this weekend if she still has the pattern. If she does I will get back with you on Monday.

Thanks Pam. Your step mom must not have had the pattern anymore. Thanks for checking it out. Go to chit chat tomorrow if you want to see doll number 109 I mailed out today to a child in West Virginia. Thanks again, and hope life is coming up roses for you and yours.

Sorry I have been so slow with my reply. Been having some busy days. Take care.

Hi, If you can find a "Carol's Zoo" pattern they are cute and very easy to make. I've made them out of fleece, chenille and quilted fabric and they're really fun. Recently I made several easy stuffed frogs with a simple quilt pattern--sorry I can't remember the designer, but I reduced the pattern a bit and made two sizes--they seem to please kids from toddlers to teens and several in my bee filled them with pellets or sand to use as pincushions or weights in the sewing room.

adding: Just did some research to find the cute frog pattern and found it on ebay. It's very easy if anyone is interested.

I have that Carol's Zoo pattern someplace. You liked it? It wasn't too hard?

My bee made the Carol's zoo patterns for the guild boutique. They were easy and so cute and completely sold out quickly.

I have it saved on the desktop, thinking when there is some money to spare, I'll get a toy kit and see how it goes
