i was having a hard time counting my quilt pieces. My counting skills are fine but my fingers tips got so dry from working with the material that it was hard to pick up the pieces. I tried the eraser end of a pencil but had to push to hard to get it to pick up that I gave that up. Then I remembered with I used to count money for a company that I used a product called "SortKwik" - a fingertip moistener. A clean way to get a fast grip. It really works well for me so thought I would pass it along for those of you that may have experienced the same situation. Got it from a office supply store. Walmart didn't have any.

I keep some in grocery bags I made. Take it along in one of the bags to the grocery store because I have trouble getting the produce bags open especially with arthritic fingers. Next bag I make is going to have a special pocket on the outside to hold it in. Should put one for cupons and list too.

Sounds like it'd be a good thing to use when machine quilting ... instead of the gloves.

Question ... is there any concern for a residue being left behind on the fabric?

I see no residue anywhere. The container says Non-toxic, Hygienic and Long Lasting. It is a clear product.

When I saw your title, SortKwik was the first thing I thought of, but forgot the name. All I could think of was 'the pink stuff'.
