The whole quilt , for the exception of the sashings, is made up of hst, started with 10" blocks, then cut them into 4 triangles. It's in the placement of the blocks. I was going to do a zig zag, but deceided to do them this way.

No, we sell tickets when the ladies register and the money is for our junior golfers. All the ladies of course want to win the quilt, so we manage to sell quite a few tickets. I believe this is the 6th year that I have donated a quilt for our tournament. We sell the tickets at $1.00 a ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.

Was that how the directions were written or is this an original pattern? The layout is so bold. I really, really like it. |

It's my own. I just took the idea for the star pattern, made it smaller and then continued with hst in blues, red, whites. It is a 10" block, right sides together, cut diagonal twice, then when you sew the two different colors together, trim your blocks to 6 1/2". The rest is just putting it together.
