i am quite happy with the way this one turned out- and when i showed my hubby he really-really liked it-
there is something special about raggy quilts :)
i enjoy making them- i don't know why i only make a couple a year---anyhow-
another quilt done in 2012! yea!

what a great way to use up your odds and ends. So, when you wash this, do the frayed edges fray even more? wondering if those edges become too frayed eventually to where the seams come apart.

Love the scenes on the first quilt. Great way to use up that stash. The seams should not come apart after several washings because when it is cut, your cut should not go into the seam area. At least my quilts have not unraveled. Great job on both of them!

This is really really nice! I never thought of piecing the back and putting sashing in between. Well it's now on my todo list!

Very nice!

it's only one quilt- the top-raggy side and the back-
and no my seams do not come apart- i stitch each construction seam twice- and pay attention when clipping to not snip through any seams- if i do happen to snip a seam i go straight back to the machine and fix it
the edges will fray a bit more when washed a couple more times but then it will (be done) and not go any further- and it will not go past the joining/construction seams.
i have a raggy quilt i made 9 years ago-been washed many many times- has held up just fine.
