Personally I think the quilt looks great "as is". You did a beautiful job, and I'm not biased because you used my favorite star block. Love the color combinations, I think DIL will love it.

I think it looks great. If you try to "spark it up" you just might take away from the simple beauty of the quilt. It's beautiful.

How about an unfilled red piping (same color as used in blocks) and then your wide green border for the drop.
