The Firebird Ballet back cloth quilt?

I have fallen in love with this picture of the back cloth of the Russian ballet The Firebird. The cloth is on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Has anyone come across a quilt pattern inspired by this beautiful painting by Natalia Goncharova? Not very savy on adding pics so here is a link.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-10882015

Thanks for adding the link.

I was watching some past episodes of The Quilt Show last week, and the one with Karen Eckmeier (#1109),
which showed how she made her Villages quilts, was very interesting.

Here's are some examples:

Check out the Aegean Memories in the middle of the first row, and I love the colors in Tiny Town.
They all have that same sense of denseness.

Anyway, it's what I thought of first when I saw the picture of the backdrop.

Obviously, the color palette and roof shapes would be different, but her method looked to be super easy and extremely flexible.

I don't usually do that type of quilt, but I was really intrigued.

Anyway, you have to be a paid member to view the shows.
However, if you think you'd be interested in that type of quilt, I have some extra gift certificates that would enable you see it (I've been a member since the beginning).
I'd be really interested in what you come up with.

And welcome to the board.

MTS, you either have a great memory or a good eye.. the Villages quilts are gorgeous and certainly capture the spirit of the Firebird cloth. I would love to see the video! Thank you for the offer!
