First Long Arm

Hi, Am considering my first Long Arm---Yea!!!!! I have a Baby Lock Quest Plus, which I love so am looking online at the Baby Lock Tiara due to physical problems (and this machine shows sit down capability!). Any suggestions or feedback on Baby Lock or other brands would be greatly appreciated, also what features are truly important and not to be skimped on? I don't think I will be in a position to upgrade after this, DH is looking at retiring before too long, so want to be sure I get a machine I will be happy with for a while. Thank you!

I have a Baby Lock Crown Jewel and have had absolutely no problem with it. For a beginner, the stitch regulator is important, but you may find after awhile that you can do without it. I think the other thing for a sit down machine would be the largest table you can fit in your sewing area - the machine needs to sit with the plate flat at table top level. The Tiara may come with a table. My Crown Jewel came with several LED lights and spaces to add more. You might want to order more with it if there are extra spaces.
Hope you enjoy it!

Have you seen the rolling saddle seats for longarm quilting? They make it fun again if you prefer to sit.

Innova now has a sit-down machine. I would recommend looking at it for comparison.
