First paper pieced quilt
2 Attachment(s)
I took a class to learn to paper piece and this is the result. I ended up learning to use an electric seam ripper, I had that many seams to rip, due to not squaring up. That was a lesson. Even if the instructions don’t tell you to...always square up! Which fabric do you think is better for a border? (Bottom picture)

Wow! Nice job on a first time paper pieced quilt (which I've never done). THe ripping--ugh--no fun.
THe green border is definitely better looking to my eye. |
The yellow is way to much for a border- it clashes with everything in the quilt.
For your first paper piece project this really turned out good. No one would ever know you had to take it apart- use that seam ripper. I didn’t know there was such a thing as an electric one- I would be afraid of one I think- afraid I would cut into my quilt. Seems that it worked well for you though. Very nice quilt! |
Lovely top and I like the green fabric on the bottom! The yellow is too bright for the other fabrics in my opinion.

vey, very pretty!

I like the green.

Ok, going with the green.
My fabric isn’t long enough to go the length of the quilt. Is it ok to piece it together to get the right length or should I wait and buy a longer piece of fabric so it can be one solid piece? |
Green looks best.

I"m thinking the bottom green too. lovely quilt!!!

If you have to piece the green, make it intentional with the black design of the quilt blocks.
