Today I went to the quilt shop to dicuss what I need to do prior to taking my long arm quilting class.
The lady is so very helpful & great w/suggesstions. I need to buy some more backing fabric, what I purchased will be too small but was told piecing the backing fabris is ok. I did purchased my battening @ her shop. Since my boarder fabric is a deep burgandy red,I did decide to prewash. I got my first hands on peak of the long arm I will be working on...HUGE !! What an amazing machine,I am looking forward to my class Monday. I would enjoy hearing from others about your first long arm class. Did you continue to go back & then rent the long arm to do more quilts ? I just can not imagine having one in my home,I'd have to built an addition !! |
Enjoy your class.

Sounds exciting.

Having a long arm and a frame is a dream for me that will never happen. I will probably not even ever touch one either. Have fun learning how to use it.
