When we quilt, we look more at the top than the back. We leave open spaces and often we end up with a pooch and I do not mean Fido the dog. This upsets me because I was not paying attention to the back just worried what was on the front. Now what to do when you look at the back   :?

How to fix a pooch on the back of your quilt. With the back facing up take some quilting stitches to fill in the spot or flatten the pooch. Do not stich through the top just through the back and the batting.

Happy Quilting!!!!

And I was so proud to have fixed my pooch when he was 6 mos old - didn't even have to use thread!

I was certain this would be about my dog. LOL

Good tip, Bebe. I think you could easily do this without tearing out your stitches, if they were loosly applied to just the back & backing....of course, the Amish intentionally leave a few stitches out of their work because no human is perfect. Won't keep me from trying to get as close as I can, though LOL.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I have a pooch to fix (knocking on wood here). Thanks for the tip Bebe.
