Can I iron flannel backed satin and if so, what temp do I use? Can I spray it with Mary Ellen's Best Press to keep it from becoming too wrinkled? I'm using it to back a quilt and it is pretty wrinkled from being on the bolt.

I am sure you can iron it but I would test the iron on a small corner to find the setting to use. I don't think you can use a very hot iron. Don't know about Mary Ellen's Best Press but I don't see why not.

I would throw it in the dryer on low or air setting with a damp washcloth. Many times, this will get most of the wrinkles out. I would iron it on the flannel side on low-med setting after testing for the correct setting.

is it cotton? or a poly blend?
if it's cotton use a cotton setting if it's a blend use a polyester setting.

fiber content is always what's important- doesn't matter really if it's flat cottons, flannels, homespuns, batiks, calicos- the iron temperature needs to be set for the fiber content.
