Just wondering where you buy your flannel..I use it in my rag quilts but wondered if there are better flannels out there.
thanks |
If you want the best go to the LQS. I on the other hand have no money and the best flannel that I have found around here is at Wal-Mart. Their other fabric isn't great and I have to drive over 30 miles, but their flannel is very nice. I have a couple rag quilts on my bed that have been there for about 3 or 4 years and I don't see any wear on them.

They took the fabric out of my walmart. I have been going to Joanns when its on sale. But i hate when it gets those little balls on it after washing. LOL

All of my rag quilts...4 throws, were made with Joann fabric & after 4-5 yrs ,are still in good shape. They've been washed, dried on the clothes line or in dryer & all are in good shape.

I bought mine at WalMart last year. I was lucky, the three I chose happened to be a decent weight.

I usually get mine from Hancock Fabrics when they have 50% off flannel sale.....it's usually the Blizzard flannel..... never had any problems with it

Joann's has a selection of nicer, heavier flannels that are not with the juvenile flannels. They are called Quilter's flannel. They cost more, but they are heavier and do not pill or shrink quite as much.
When I use a layer in the middle, I just use any flannel - no one will see it. lol |
