Flat Fat Stack
Hello! I haven't been around for awhile, but I saw this today and thought I would share. Apparently a fabric company called Paintbrush Studio Fabrics is going to print fat quarters in yardage, calling it a Flat Fat Stack. I'm guessing it will work in multiples of two or four. It says they will be slightly larger than 18"x21", which I appreciate. I hope this becomes a thing:

Interesting concept. Let's see if their pricing is competitive with other manufacturer's fq bundles or if they are actually cheaper.

Thank you for this, I signed up for e-mails.

I have seen this and actually purchased some manufactured by Riley Blake last summer. I'm on the fence about it. I wanted yardage of a certain print but could ONLY get it in quarter yards because it was printed as a FQ. Seems pretty limiting, IMO. You can always cut yardage into FQs, but you can't make FQs into yardage.

Had never heard of this, so did a google search and found this at Fabric.com. If I read this right, the "panel" is 10 fat quarters for 25.00. Will be interesting to see if this becomes a "thing".
thanks Wilferg for sharing. https://www.fabric.com/buy/0769355/p...lat-fat-stack- |
Interesting concept. Have never heard of such a thing. They say more eco friendly. I would be interested in knowing how. We throw the "eco friendly" phrase about so easily.

I’ll keep my eyes and ears open for reviews but it is an interesting concept. Thank you for sharing.
On a side note Willferg, My son and DIL live in Vacaville and told me last night on the phone that you are having some nice spring weather. |

Sharon Yenter of In the Beginning Fabrics offered something she called "Forties Fats" in the 1990's. 4 fabrics in one yard. I bought 2 color ways and have used most of the pink. I just cut apart the green a few weeks ago to use in a current project. I appreciated that it included lights, because most 30s and 40s reproduction fabrics were mediums.

OH I saw this quite sometime ago. can't think when but it's been awhile. Maybe they are trying again.

So do they have the selvage information anywhere -- the color dots, fabric line, designer and the pattern no.? If not, I would consider that somewhat of a disadvantage, as I do sometimes need that info.
