fleece question for rag quilts
I want to make a rag quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas.. She chews on her blanket so i don't want to make it with cotton because of all the little pieces that rag off it. So i thought i'd use fleece. There are different types of fleece and was wondering which one would work the best. THanks for any help

Does she have teeth? Go for the fleece. My dog chews on one and no problem, but he is a chihuahua.

I've made lots of fleece rag quilts, they are great because they don't "shed" and I've used whatever fleece I found in the remnant bin. I've mixed different brands together, I've tried to make sure when I layed out a pattern that the stretch all went in the same direction but when it didn't, there didn't seem to be a problem, I've made some two layer, and others only one layer. Fleece is wonderful to work with. Here's a front and back picture of a two layer one I made, and a couple of one layer ones I've made.

Also, if you want to add a little pizazz to it, here's directions for making it with a scalloped edge. I did this with one layer of fleece and it turned out really cute.
