Floating diamond of tumbling blocks

About a year ago I found, and bought fabric for, a pattern that had a floating diamond-shaped glob of tumbling blocks in a black field--no black between the blocks. It was made with the 60* ruler/strip piecing method.

Does that ring any bells? Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't think it's in the ABC 3D book--at least, the example pictures I've seen from that haven't shown the one I'm looking for. I don't have the book but am willing to buy it if I can confirm it has the right pattern.

Thanks in advance,
Hallie

I think I remember the one you are talking about. It's like this one, but totally different :). Didn't have the borders & rather than stopping with the triangle, the diamond shape was completed on the bottom half:

Thanks; you've described it well. If all else fails I could probably use that one...and modify it. Hopefully someone will be able to come up with the original pattern, though!
