Has anyone attempted a floorquilt? It is a good way of using scraps. Check out Ellen Silver's "Floorquilts!" book, Fabric Decoupaged Floorcloths-Sew Fun.

LuvE did a floor quilt and posted it here not long ago.
I'm wanting to do one ... of course, I have so much spare time! :)

One of the gal's at our Illinois Meet & Greet bought the pattern, backing and fabric for it. It's a small bath throw. The backing is the rubberized stuff they put on the backs of floor throws. I don't know what the pattern is called, it's all 1.5" squares and they were zig-zag stitch quilted to the backing. It looked neat and we all had a hand in helping her pick fabric for it!!

These were very popular when I lived in New England.

There's a pattern on Moda's site similar ... you use folded strips, weave them, and zig zag to hold them in place.

Thank you, I'll check out Moda's site.
