You are very lucky to have received this, I hope that the product mentioned does the trick for you. I remember Eleanor Burns saying that her mother used to boil the feed sacks to get them really clean. Good luck!

Does RetroClean take the colors out or just the stains? I have never heard of it nor used it?

Just the stains. I've used it for years and it's my favorite product. Just follow the directions.

I have success with the powder oxy clean. Put a scoop in a dishpan or any container and fill with water and soak for a while. I also just read an article that Dawn Ultra dish soap works wonders and is supposedly very safe for fabrics, but I would not put it in my washing machine.

Thanks SusieQOH, I'll have to give it a try. I have an old quilt top that was given to me that has some age stains on it.
