I am going crazy !!!! I have tried everything I know to use this darned thing, and it just wont work. What happens is - the needle just wont go down to catch the bobbin thread. I have tried it with and without the feed dogs covered, does anyone have and use one? Being an optimist, I bought a box of special emroidery thread - very costly - and now I'm stuck with the attachment and thread. PLEASE someone help me. I sew with a Brother LS 1520. I even took the bobbin holder out of the machine thinking something was wrong with that.

I can't tell you about your particular machine...but for mine if the needle is in wrong it won't catch the bobbin thread..so see if that helps? Sorry.

I have had a flower stitch attachment for three years and it works just fine for what it is designed for. I have both Singer machines (40+ yrs old) and two Viking Designers. I worked in a Viking dealership for two years and noticed that most machine "malfunctions", no matter what brand, were due to operator malfunction. Time to get out your machine manual and start from page one. You could have something confused. Did you remember to drop the pressure foot? Also check stitch width, stitch length, speed, tension. All can affect the process negatively. Good luck.
