Flying geese

I have used the Quilt in a Day Template. Misplaced instructions. Need to make lots of geese. Would like to know what other used.

This method makes 4 at a time, no waste. I use the Wing Clipper by Deb Tucker

I have not been a quilt-in-a-day gal but this tutorial makes accuracy look much more attainable. I like geese but hate all the steps, the stretching and misshaping and ugh remaking of geese. Thanks for the link!

I have used her template and it does work. Good luck.

I've been doing the method where you cut out a rectangle the size you need then add flippy-corner squares, where you sew on the diagonal line and trim the excess. I'm liking this method because it's quicker (for me) than oversizing them and trying to figure out how to trim it.

Yes, Eleanor's method works...the rulers make it so easy and stress free.

If you're looking for something besides QIAD I also recommend Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper.

It would also depend on what size FG you want. QID is a bit limited.

I too use Deb Tuckers Wing Clipper. Get great perfect geese.
