Does anyone have or has used a Flynn frame? Just wanting to know about it. :-D

I have one and do not like it. However, some on the board have them and like them. I guess it's just personal preference. To me it just is more trouble than it's worth to set it up. And you can only quilt a small area at a time. I'd rather do fmq; to me it's easier.

I watched him demo the frame in Paducah last week. He had several ladies there that said they bought them and couldn't use them or didn't like them. He sit each one down and said 'show me how you do it'. Everyone was doing something that made the using the frame difficult. I watched as each of the ladies had a turn using it and everyone said OH, so that is how you are suppose to do it.

I bought one for making lap sized quilts. Some here use them for king sized...I don't have a table that is big enough or an area either to accomodate that size LOL

One of my guild friends had one, sold it to another guild member who sold it to another guild member, who sold it at a yard sale. They all said it was a waste of money. I've seen John demonstrate the frame and he certainly makes it look simple. It must not be for everyone.

One thing I remember him showing was the roller to the left of the quilt must be at the end of the frame not anywhere near the machine or the quilt will have too much drag to move freely under the needle.

I have one and it is gathering dust in a corner. I just didn't like it.
