108" square is a *large* quilt! You may want to divide the batting into sections to make it easier to handle, especially if this is your first quilt FMQing.

Have you practiced FMQ on practice sandwiches? If you are planning on a "squiggle" type FMQ, then people usually do not mark. If you are planning to FMQ a specific design, such as a flower motif, you may want to mark the design on the quilt top before starting. Marking in itself is a major subject for a separate thread (no pun intended!).

I would not do any quilting without the teflon sheet. It makes such a huge difference in the way the fabric moves without building up any static electricity.

Make sure the entire quilt is on the table surface - puddled around your machine. If you have part of the quilt over the edge, it will pull too much and distort the quilting.

I was thinking of doing it this way:
Spray Basting the pieces together
Then start in the middle and work towards one corner
Then go back and do the second corner on the same side
Flip quilt around and do the bottom to corners.

Thinking I will have to pin with the spray basting

Going to do a outline design of the blocks.

Opionions Please on if you think this will work?

I always start in the middle, sew to the end, turn and sew to other end, sew from center to side, turn and sew to other side. I usually to quarter sections until all is quilted, then I do the borders. I always quilt next to quilting, this works great for me.
