Earlier this year I found the thread by dungeonquilter that was a tutorial on how to make a Folded Dahlia. Well, I fell in love with it and want to thank dungeonquilter for the great instructions. I made a bag with it and just had to share pictures.

That is fantastic. Your heart shaped button adds to it.

There was quite a good tutorial on QB by dungeonquilter back in 2011.

That looks like the same pattern I used in these Christmas toppers. I love it but it is definitely a lot of work.

made one but being a house with dogs and cats, my pillows, couch throws get laundered and I was wondering how the dahlia fairs after the washing machine? have not put it out yet-sorta afraid.

Wow! Thanks for the link. Just reading the directions and following along with the pictures made my brain itch. That is one awesome tutorial! Your dahlia is beautiful!

I totally fell in love with these pcs. when "dungeonquilter" first put her tute on here & of course I went crazy making them. Now I have stacks of them & am wondering what to do with them. Yes, I want to make more. I am so pathetic.

I bought all of these at rummage sales! Apparently there was a fad, maybe 20 or more years ago where everyone was making them. Must have been before I was into crafting, or I would have been making them, too. LOL

The strange thing about all this, is that they are all the same color family: brown, tan, orange, rust etc. Some even have the same fabrics. They all go together nicely in my gold and white bathroom. And they were accumulated over the course of several years at different rummage sales.
