Folded Hexagon Quilt

This morning I caught the last part of a show that was showing a folded hexagon quilt. I think it was Quilting Arts but I cannot find the pattern or anything about it. Does anyone know if there is a free tutorial.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this is the technique I prefer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JseWMYdMtDs

I saw the same show. It was Quilting Arts. You start with any size circle, and they finish about 1/2 that size. No papers or templates. I don't know how to post a link but I see it on Quilting Daily, Unconventional Hexagons.

Like foundation piecing, it's a conspiracy to make us use more fabric! Bah! LOL. But it looks fun to try for a few. Then of course, I would make a circle within a circle so I could use ugly fabric for the part that gets hidden, LOL. And then suddenly good old English paper piecing gets easy again ;-). Now, of course, if we could use the technique for reversible hats or something where the inside would get use too.....

i saw it as well ....what a cool idea

And I just tried to go to the show and you have to pay for it. What a rip off! Anyway, on the show the person demonstrating said she saw Appalachian women doing it. Maybe there's somewhere else "out there" where it can be found! The Riley Blake site looked like it used the hexagon templates....but I caught a glimpse of a fun looking Halloween project with the hexies.

Here is the show on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNE089I7qRw

I have it recorded, but found it on you tube. It looks like a really cool technique without the paper pattern. I have to try it.

Here is the info from that show:

Thanks so much you all. I am going to each site to see. Yes a rip off if we have to pay to see tutorial.
