Folding a Quilt
I was once told that to prevent folds you should always fold a quilt on the bias. Does anyone have a tute for this??

You got me curious so i googled it and here is what i found:

I have seen some people fold on the bias and put acid free tissue paper in the folds. I just fold my quilts and if I want to prevent a crease, I slip a pool noodle in the fold. For long term storage I have a cardboard carpet tube inside a muslin sleeve that I roll my quilts up on.

I just fold mine.

A friend of mine folds hers like a flag and rolls. Just depends on how she wants to decorate. She's always switching them out. She is able to put on the bed and/or hang them. The link charming attached is simple and makes sense.

I roll mine too... most are on the smaller side and I will roll another one around the first one and so on. Then I lay them on a shelf in a large closet.
If I fold them I do try and periodically refold them differently. |
I roll mine, don't have many, put in pillowcases, but switch them out often...

All good advice. I need to take better care in care of my quilts, I think. Thank you for the info.

The quilts I keep are all in use, either on the walls, on the beds, or around on chairs and couches.
