I've watched a couple. It's good to see a new young face involved with quilting but I'm sorry. Just not the same. :(

I really like the daughter, she is fairly new to quilting so she comes to the show with that perspective and explains things that new quilters need to know. She has her own how to videos on their site and teaches a new thing each week, basics like how to use a rotary cutter, how to select fabric etc. Everyone has to retire sometime

Most people just do not like change. I can understand someone wanting to retire, I surely did, and I hope she enjoys her retirement as much as I do mine. I think Miss Fons will do fine. She does give a new perspective to quilting and I think that is needed. Time will tell.

Change isn't always a bad thing as already mentioned. The show seems to spotlight more complicated quilts and techniques, and that can be appealing to some, but not everyone wants to make the techinically challenging quilts. From what I have heard, people would appreciate tips to make cutting easier, a faster way of putting blocks together, techniques to enhance the quilting experience. Today they have a longarm quilter on and she is painting. I would like to see their programming get back to basics and highlight some of the newer fabrics, using them in their quilting projects.
