Not on PBS in Buffalo, NY anymore, or at least not when I can watch it.

We have cable and get it on PBS. on Saturday afternoon.

on computer type in creat TV and it will give you the channels it is on. It is a public tv show

I am no longer getting Fons and Porter or sewing with Nancy they do need a good crafting channel that features nothing but quilting and crafts

Lets not forget about the 10 "Real housewives" shows and all the stupid reality shows that follow. Thats why I love saturday mornings when I can watch all of the old westerns like Sugarfoot, The Rifleman, GunSmoke, Big Valley, and all of the western movies afterwards. Ah how I long for the golden age of TV

I can't get Fons and Porter on our local PBS or BYU.



They took them of this week I do get Eleanor Burns on RFD channel 345 on Direct TV

I get Fons and Porter...on public channel...just now getting newer shows...Maryann working with Mary, her daughter. I believe Liz is doing an embroidery and/or knitting thing these days. She comes on now and again.

Same here BUT you can watch FULL episodes about 2 years behind free @ F&P.com:). They are Available on line as soon as they stop airing. I think thru 15 or 1600 now. You can choose the episode anD watch it as often as you like. Same with SWN but those are thru the latest episode. Have fun! M

I just submitted my complaint to their website. If we don't speak up, they will never know who is missing the show. Their website is http://byutv.org/contact. I enjoyed watching the older episode when Liz was still one of the hosts. I really miss her....

Yes, I also noticed that it disappeared along with the painting program that follows it.

I tried this link and it doesn't work for me.
When we are in Minnesota, we get lots of quilting, painting and cooking shows that I can't get in Arizona. We have a different cable supplier there and we have about 5 PBS stations.
I also noticed that Mary Ann and her daughter were on the PBS station here in Scottsdale for a couple of weeks and that has disappeared also. Perhaps they are wanting us to subscribe and pay for the episodes via their websites. My thoughts only.

I get M. Fons & her daughter Saturday morning on a local PBS station another PBS (local) sometime thru the week & on the create chanel. I have Comcast cable. I find their program a real teaching type of show.

I get it here in WI on these stations....3, 130, 600, 972 and 973....PBS station, I have Charter Cable. It is on during the week a few times andvtrsyr Saturday. I just tape them all and delete if duplicate. I also get others.

I did another search tonight and found that Fons & Porter has been switched from BYU to PBS here in the Harrisburg, Pa area...DirecTV. I'll have to double check but I think it said one day a week for 1/2 hour. Big whoop...LOL.

I'm in Houston area and was recording on my DVR - Recordings stopped 8/18 that's the last date I have a copy of. It was coming from BYU channel. Can't tell you more than that. Maybe the series just runs during the summer months...

Mine too on Direct TV. It was replaced with Why Quilts Matter, History Politics ETC. It's interesting, but I miss Fons and Porter.

I live in So.Mn. I haven't been able to find any quilt shows on our Direct. We haven't had a satellite very long, so I'm still learning....I'm sure they're there somewhere. HELP please!! How can I find them?? thanks

I have direct tv and it went from 3:30 in the afternoon to 8 am...I usually don't get to watch it because DH is watching the today show....crafty_linda_b

I got up at 7 a.m. this morning to watch the Fons and Porter program on PBS out of Detroit and there was some guy painting a lily. I was not pleased!

Do you know where to find the Search feature on DirecTV? Using your remote once you find it you can use Keyword and put in sewing...when I used the word QUILTING nothing came up. Keyword SEWING gave me the info for Sewing With Nancy. You can also search for shows. Use the title of the show ie...Fons and Porter and see if it comes up for you. What I ended up doing was using Menu and then pushing the green button which is +12 (hours) since I figured it wouldn't be on at night or real early in the morning...and just went through every show on our PBS station from like 6 AM till I found it listed.

I also saw something under sewing...Martha's Sewing Room...which I guess is Martha Stewart. I am not a fan of her but if that's the limit of what I can watch here...3 1/2 hour shows a week I guess I will break down and watch her show too.

When I check what else is on our PBS station...it's still a lot of the same shows my kids (now ages 41 and 39) watched when they were little. JMHO but come on...don't they think us adults want to watch more than 1 1/2 hours a week of something geared to our age/interest. I can find a LOT of cooking shows...that I sometimes watch...but it really is NOT my thing.

Well, to let u all know....I did not have any of the shows to see today, it is not on any of my stations today....darn. Still have Nancy and Bonsteal though. Going to write the station as well.....I look forward to Fons and P. every Saturday. Did see it scheduled for Tues. and Thurs. though. Just wanted to share......

No, Martha's Sewing room is a different Martha (Pullman?) can't remember her last name but she does a lot of hand stitching and vintage type stuff.
