I am new to quilting and for many years I hated sewing. I still get frustrated when the sewing maching gobs up. I never imagined I would attempt quilting but here I am.
I would like to say this forum is very inspirational, informative and no one is crititical of your work.
I found the link on You Tube for The Missouri Star Quilt company for making a tube pillowcase and I have made five of them.
I am almost to the point with this first quilt top that I am ready to put the back on but scared about the next step (sewing the blocks by hand is easy). I will be spending the weekend with some quilting friends and get some help. Thanks everyone!

ER Stan: Wow, your dog looks like mine! Sadie was from the Humane Society and she is a Terrier Mix. I love her ears.

Thank you everyone for the welcome.
I just got through sorting (at least that is what I think I did) my fabric stash. I should not buy anything for the next two years at least!

No matter how long you have been sewing/quilting, a mess of thread gobbed up in your machine is frustrating, we all get them from time to time, but go right back to it! Good for you, yes please do show up your project.

Hi Pat! Quite a few Michiganians here on the board. I'm in K'zoo, where are you? I was born in GR, grew up in Muskegon, came to K'zoo in the 60's for college and never left. I know you'll like it here, lots of friendly quilters and a wealth of info and ideas. Penny (pgthom)
