Hey
Just felt I needed to say that I belong to a forum that you pay for it is up in August and I will not be renewing this one.
Not since I found all you guys (gals) for those of you who take offense on being called a guy!
I like it here more.

Thanks and hope your day full of sunshine even if it is raining.

Pam 07-01-2010 02:14 PM

We rock!!!

sewnsew 07-01-2010 02:22 PM

Good decision ! This really is a great group !!! And we're FREE !!! Pat

Prism99 07-01-2010 02:35 PM

Free is good! :D

quiltingfan 07-01-2010 02:37 PM

Love this forum also. It is wonderful

craftybear 07-01-2010 02:39 PM

glad to have you on this group, Welcome!

Rosyhf 07-01-2010 02:41 PM

You can't get better than this forum, I am fairly new and was so lucky to find it.

quiltinghere 07-01-2010 03:12 PM

Never could understand paying for someplace to voice my opinions and learn something new. :(

katmom54 07-01-2010 03:51 PM

this one is definitely the best...variety, talent, advice...and fun

BellaBoo 07-01-2010 03:54 PM

I was a member of a private message board. No new members were allowed unless the owner sent a personal invitation to join. The board was getting dull and boring, same posters and same opinions day after day. The owner and a few of her sycophants thought it was so grand to have such an inclusive private group. They said they felt safe posting. ?? Any poster that disagreed with the owner was banned. I voiced what I thought about the rule of not to have new members unless they were invited to join. and I got banned! LOL I was kinda proud to be banned from someplace!

CarrieAnne 07-01-2010 04:27 PM

Glad to have you!

franie 07-01-2010 04:30 PM

I have to admit this is fun.

dsb38327 07-01-2010 04:50 PM

Good decision!

Shiloh 07-01-2010 05:05 PM

This is the greatest. I think I belonged to the same "private" forum that BellaBoo belonged to. I am so glad I found this great group. Everyone is nice and I learn so much AND the search function is as good as any book you could buy! I hope we are around for many, many years!! Yeah for the Quilting Board. Gerry

deedum 07-01-2010 05:52 PM

This is the very best place to be and everyone is soooooooo helpful. I'm glad you chose this board.

Pam 07-01-2010 06:27 PM

Hey, what was that other forum? I want to get kicked out, too.

Lostn51 07-01-2010 06:50 PM

You know the main reason I like this forum is that I was never chastised for being a guy! I have always felt very welcome and happy here and the things that I have learned I can not even come close to thanking you all for. I just hope that I can contribute to this forum and help folks like you have done for me!!

And I am looking forward to meeting a lot of you on my western tour of the us in September!!

Billy

Pam 07-01-2010 07:14 PM

Aw, shucks Billy, we like you, too! Thanks for trying to help me with my machine! It runs like a top now.

I enjoy this forum so much. I think it is wonderful how everyone is so good to share info. The guild I belong to is the same we just want to have fun, share and learn techniques, make friends and be there for each other.A year ago I would never have believed that I would have found a site like this! Thank you all.

I've gotta agree--ya'll are the best! I have learned a lot and I love the activities that are a part of the group. This board is so well put together and maintained....and the help and inspiration are amazing! Thanks for being here!
**a note to Billy....I always admire a male quilter...they bring a taste of their own to the group! (I was wondering about your location though...lol Is that in real time or wishful thinking....it made me laugh!

sewmuchmore 07-02-2010 04:21 AM

I am glad that I found this place. and billy, i never knew guys quilted until i found this site. I am just glad that you enjoy quilting, hope your other likes to quilt too. my hubby likes that I found something to keep me occupied so i wont bug him about being on the computer so much. hehe

craftiladi 07-02-2010 05:03 AM

I too belonged to a couple different forums and have now narrowed it down to just this one.
Reasons I love it and have stuck with this one:
1} Appreciate all the wonderful/helpful members
2 The way the board is set up is very easy to use....you have no idea how this was a huge deciding factor.
3} The tutorials are awesome-can't tell you how much I have learned, thank-you to all of you helpful members that share so willingly.
I could go on but those are my main reasons.

BellaBoo you're a Rebel! Love it!
This board is absolutely one of the most helpful spots I have found. As a new quilter I just post a question and everyone (and I mean everyone) is soooo great and quick to respond. I have never felt like my new status makes me less of a quilter and I feel encouraged by all the responses I've received. It's as if the "older/wiser" quilters take pride in helping new folks along. The adopt a newbie program ROCKS and I've been so lucky in that aspect too! My adopted mom, Montanblu is awesome.

Love this forum!!!! You will too, we have lots of laughs and learn tons of stuff! :D
Welcome!!!!!!!!!

Marsye I took my wife to the Neurologist yesterday and I had just got a new Quilter Magazine in the mail the other day and brought it with me. Needless to say it didnt take long for her to comment on that one.......

Oh well I am just in touch with both sides of my brain!
