It may not be new to others, but new for me..lol..I always have issues with my rulers, templates, etc shifting on my fabric..Especially while rotary cutting..So Isprayed the basting spray on the back of mmy 8 1/2 in square and viola! No more shifting of fabric..It's saving my sanity!

Great idea. I'll have to try this one.
Nice tip thanks
I'll have to try it. THANKS
Another nice way to solve this issue is to use sandpaper under your fabric. Good luck with your cutting!
I'm going to give it a try......how often do you have to spray it :D
That is a really good tip b/c i can't keep my rulers straight for nothing.
Wow I never thought of that great idea
Ruth, I sprayed it once and did about 20 cuts..It's still tacky..I wish I had thought of it when I was cutting the other 120 squares..lol
I also glued little squares of sandpaper right to my big ruler and that works great too. Some where on this board someone uses a suction cup thing on their rulers and they say that works well too. Haven't gotten one of those yet.
wow great idea i will try that one because i mess up sometimes when cutting because i move the ruler
Just be really careful, because when I ACCIDENTLY got basting spray on mine the rough semi tack made me crazy and it took me several washings to get it off, now I'm always careful NOT to spray them.
P.S. Rubbing Alcohol takes it off fairly well. |
