foundation Paper Piecing

I recently took a class in beginning fpp it started out not so good using the sew on the paper method.
then I discovered this new method from the youtube "the Sewing Channel" and I was wondering if this method seems so much easier it is for me . FPP seems to be more work but with this method works for me please tell me if you know of other
methods that make FPP easier. thank you

is this the method you are referring to?

by coincidence, i saw a different tutorial this morning that uses the same process but the foundations are printed on freezer paper. there would be no need for the glue stick. i'm going to try this one .... eventually.... because i have a lot of freezer paper on hand.

there are several youtube videos that demonstrate the freezer paper method. this is just one:

to me, both methods look a lot easier than sewing on the paper and then having to remove it.

show us what you make, please! :-)

I've been fpp for many years. I have tried all the methods. I always go back to the basic Carol Doak way. I stopped using the tear away paper years ago. I use Ricky Tims Stable Stuff. It's printable on laser or ink jet. If you use paper trace over the lines with a tracing wheel before using, makes the folding much easier. Also using a water pen will make removing paper much faster.

Carol Doak has a Facebook group and she has a new pp pattern every month for free. Lots of posters share their tips on paper piecing.

I've never tried any method but the sew on paper one, and I don't have a problem with it. I learned doing a sampler which had some pieced blocks and some FPP blocks. I have to admit, it got more tiresome when I chose that method to do hundreds of the same block for a quilt a couple of years ago, so I probably won't take that route again.
